Rule 1 : Privacy Settings
There are three different privacy settings for iTowns: Public, Restricted, and Private.

A) Public iTowns can be joined by anyone who is interested.
B) Restricted iTowns can be joined once the Mayor approves the membership request sent by a member.
C) Private iTowns can be joined only by invitation from the Mayor.
Rule 2 : iTowns Under Construction vs. Activated iTowns
When creating either a Public or Restricted iTown, the Mayor must select a Target Size for the iTown (between 2 ~ 500 residents).

The Mayor will be given 10 days to reach the target size. During this period, the iTown will be ¡®Under Construction¡¯, and it will be activated as soon as the target size has been reached within the given 10 days.

If an iTown under construction reaches above 50% of the target size but fails to be activated within 10 days, another 10 days will be given as an extension. However, if the iTown once again fails to be activated during the extended 10 days, that iTown will be canceled. In addition, when an iTown under construction fails to reach 50% of the target size during the given 10 days, it will be canceled.

Once an iTown is activated, the size of an Activated iTown will be 10 times the number selected as target size by the Mayor. For example, an iTown that has been activated with 5 residents will have 50 vacancies available for other members to join.
Rule 3 : My iTowns
The maximum number of iTowns that can be managed by the member (as a Mayor) is 5.
The maximum number of iTowns that can be joined by the member (as a Resident) is 30.
If a member has sent membership requests to join iTowns that needs approval by the Mayor, the maximum number of iTowns that can be joined will be the difference between the number of requests and 30.
Rule 4 : Appointing Officers
The Mayor of an iTown has the privilege to appoint residents as Officers.

An officer will have the authority to delete entries posted by residents. The Mayor will need officers when assistance is needed in managing the iTown.

By appointing an officer, 50 additional vacancies will be assigned for more members to join the iTown.
